Now in our third year, the Fraser Valley Cork and Keg festival is a showcase of local and international wines, craft and premium beer, Fraser Valley delicacies including local producers, restaurants and culinary artisans. Guests to our event can expect over 300 different types of wine, beer and spirits — truly providing a little something for everyone.

Highlights of the festival include:

  • Oyster bar, presented by 1 Fish 2 Fish Fresh Seafood Market
  • Live entertainment
  • All tastings included in the ticket price

The Cork and Keg event consists of two components each with its own unique audience.

The trade and media portion of the day is a great opportunity for anyone in the hospitality industry to discover something new or reacquaint themselves with a variety of products provided by our vendors during the festival. This segment is the perfect opportunity to meet with liquor agents, network with buyers, trade staff, and industry media. New for 2013, a series of trade-focused seminars discussing wine terrior, the art of craft beer, and food pairings.

Fraser Valley Food Show Celebrates Oktoberfest Oct 4 – 6

The 6th annual Fraser Valley Food Show celebrates Oktoberfest with the 2nd Great Canadian Sausage Making Competition, 11th annual Master Chef Competition, and at least nine breweries and beer distributors participating in the popular Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting Pavilion on October 4, 5, and 6, 2013. The show features over 100 exhibitors in the food & beverage industry – many offering products from the Fraser Valley – as well as celebrity chef demonstrations, competitions, menu sampling, and tasting seminars.

New features this year:

– Sausage competition sampling for the first 500 visitors on Saturday, October 5 at 11:30am, which includes a glass of Erdinger Gluten-Free Beer for adults aged 19 and older (4 tasting tickets or $2 each).
– The Gluten-Free Living Show, featuring gluten-free product lines from small and large-scale producers and manufacturers.

More information on celebrity personalities joining Cactus Restaurants’ Rob Feenie on the Celebrity Cooking Stage will be sent out soon.
